Job Description

Gifford and Partners are working in partnership with a branded employer of choice based in Leeds City Centre who are running a process to recruit a high achieving and stand out Commercial Accountant. This role will have a commercial bias in doing 80/20 split between adding commercial value versus doing the accounting. Ultimately this role will oversee revenue and margin with no such granular detail as posting journals etc. This role will be a Finance Business Partner to not just the revenue team but also the board and director level. Other responsibilities of this role will include;


  • Building reports to present to high level stakeholders (CFO CEO level)
  • Driving performance KPIs and metrics
  • Modelling new commercial outcomes and delivering commercial solutions
  • High level data interpretation
  • Business partnering with both financial and non-financial stakeholders to drive decision making


As Commercial Accountant this role will be hugely influential to most of the exec team producing and presenting high level commercial outcomes that will ultimately be used to direct and deliver commercial decision in future. Essentially this role is targeting a qualified level candidate who is ACMA/ACA or ACCA qualified and capable of demonstrating a strong commercial understanding throughout there CV. Modelling and financial analysis are a given in this role as is the ability to present in a clear and concise way not just to finance but operational stakeholders also.
